Spring Term - Kelp & Coastal Delights
Tuesdays 6.30 - 9pm Beginner & Improver Botanical Illustration
We'll spend six sessions sketching, drawing, painting and inking the botanicals of the Firth Of Forth - delights that lie beneath the waves as well as along our coastal paths and beaches. Expect to study the long fronds of kelp that form dense underwater forests, bejewelled orange Sea Buckthorn, dense and colourful Gorse, various grasses, Dog rose and many more. We'll combine shells and perhaps some wildlife with these images to create a beautiful, coastal themed finished piece of artwork. Working mainly from original photographs and the odd small plant cutting/beach combed items, this class is ideal for anyone with a love for our coast and an interest in illustrating plants. All materials and refreshments are provided. Image courtesy of Suzanne Gibson.
