Welcome to Birchwood Art Studio.
Our relaxed and welcoming studio in the heart of Edinburgh is the ideal place to reconnect with yourself, learn new skills, or dip back into art after time away.
You don’t need to be Leonardo. In the right space and with a little nudge we believe that everyone has the ability to make marks and express themselves: Anyone Can Draw, Paint and Make!
Small but Beautiful
There's room for all in the Birchwood: two welcoming studios, an art library and a mini shop, plus a variety of supportive artist/tutors ready to harness your creative energy and develop your confidence. We have courses and workshops for all levels.
Some students come to develop, some come for quiet and some for the social engagement. It's a place where we encourage students to find their own style and voice, and feel part of the community.

No matter what your age, from 6 up, we are ready to take you on an art adventure that celebrates the process and the benefit of creativity.
