Class Details

Exploring all aspects of drawing, painting and making, Birchwood After School Art offers the perfect space to unwind and develop skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Ideal for children who love to draw, we aim to identify strengths, develop skills and encourage experimentation. We'll be plant printing, model making, sketch booking, and dip, dab, dobbing with a variety of mediums both inside our studio and out in the open air when the weather allows. Every term ends with an exhibition so make room on the fridge door for a new portfolio of masterpieces. All students will be provided with a snack on arrival and either fruit juice, milk or water. All materials will be provided though we ask that students bring an apron. In addition to the tutor there will usually be another member of staff around to help out. Staff have up to date PVG certificates and Clare and Sam have First Aid certificates. Classes are an hour long: 3.30 – 4.30pm, children can arrive anytime from 3.15, and are £13 each, bookable by the block. Bookings can be made via our website.

Cancellation Policy

We hope to avoid cancelling classes or workshops whenever possible but sometimes life happens and it's unavoidable. When we have cancelled you will be offered either a refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another class/time. We can't offer refunds if you can't make it to a class or workshop but if there are places available on another day we will do our best to fit you in. If you cancel 14 days or more before an event we will refund you if we are able to re-sell your place(s).
