Autumn Term - Portrait Drawing

Class Details
Have you always wanted to try portrait drawing but been too frightened to try it? In this 4 week class even total beginners can start to get to grips with drawing the structure of the head, the individual features and even getting a likeness! We’ll start by working from photographic reference for the first couple of weeks, and then move onto working from a model. Materials will be pencil and charcoal. If you are looking to learn skills, build confidence or refresh you practice this course offers the perfect setting to get started, grow and flourish. Most importantly you’ll have time to observe and capture what you see, in your drawings. Tutor led demonstrations will help students expand their observational skills and improve their drawing. This short introductory course will be followed by a further 4 week course on figure drawing, bookable separately. Join experienced tutor and artist Siri France for a stress free and fun introduction to portrait drawing. All materials and refreshments are included in the course fee.
Cancellation Policy
We hope to avoid cancelling classes or workshops whenever possible but sometimes life happens and it's unavoidable. When we have cancelled you will be offered either a refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another class/time. We can't offer refunds if you can't make it to a class or workshop but if there are places available on another day we will do our best to fit you in. If you cancel 14 days or more before an event we will refund you if we are able to re-sell your place(s). We reserve the right to substitute the advertised tutor with someone of equal skill/expertise.
