Creative Wire Workshop

Sculpture Day with Marcela Tršová on Sunday 15th November from 10am - 3.30pm

Class Details

Creative Wire Workshop Shape, weave and build your own sculptural forms! Join us for a hands-on and highly creative day exploring the possibilities of wire as a sculptural material. In this inspiring workshop, you’ll learn how to bend, weave, and construct wire into unique 3D forms, developing your own expressive sculpture from start to finish. This is a relaxed, experimental workshop where ideas are encouraged to grow through making. You’ll be supported throughout by the tutor, with individual guidance to help you develop your own approach and bring your ideas to life - whether abstract, figurative, or completely intuitive. Perfect for beginners and those with some experience, this workshop offers a playful and supportive space to explore form, structure, and creativity in three dimensions. What to expect We begin the day with a short introduction to artists who use wire in inventive and contemporary ways, showing how versatile and expressive the material can be. You’ll then be introduced to key wire weaving and construction techniques before moving into sketching and planning your own ideas. From there, you’ll begin building your sculpture straight away — learning through making and discovering what the material can do as you work. After a relaxed lunch break, you’ll continue developing and refining your sculpture, with plenty of guidance and support available throughout the afternoon. The day ends with a friendly group sharing session where we come together to celebrate everyone’s work.
