National Galleries of Scotland Tour
Wednesday 16th September from 10am - 12.30pm with Suzanne Kemplay
Class Details
This private tour of the Scottish Galleries is a combination of Art History and drawing from works in the collection. With her extensive knowledge of 19th/20th Century Scottish Art, Suzanne will guide you through the Scottish collection highlighting some of her favourite works. Following on from her tour on 20 Century Scottish Art, she now turns her attention to the Glasgow Boys & Girls at the end of the 19th Century. As an artist Suzanne will explore what stories the paintings hold and how can they inspire us, which will lead into the second half of the tour which will be sketching from the collection. NB: Participants will meet at The Scottish National Gallery, The Mound, Edinburgh EH2 2EL. Detailed instructions for meeting will be emailed to participants one week prior to the workshop. Basic materials provided, feel free to bring your own sketchbook.
