Starts Tuesday 23 April, 6.30 - 9pm Beginner & Improver Botanical Illustration

Class Details

Wild Flowers of Edinburgh: Botanical Illustration Join our resident botanical enthusiast, Suzanne Gibson for six weeks of Tuesday evenings illustrating a beautiful variety of Scottish Wildflowers found alongside Edinburgh’s rivers and streams, in our woodland and on open, wind-blown grassland. Choose a theme and run with it or decide to study a plant from each habitat, the choice is yours. This is an ideal course for those who are on Suzanne’s existing course or for those who want to dive into floral illustration having had some experience in drawing and/or painting. Note, we work from Suzanne’s original photos as picking wild flowers isn’t permitted. Ideal for those attending Suzanne’s current course who wish to continue delving into the lovely world of botanical illustration. Also a great short course to try out if you’re new to Birchwood. All welcome! All materials and refreshments are provided. If the class isn't full single classes can be done on a Pay As You Go basis and are £25/class. Photographs courtesy of Suzanne Gibson.
