Summer Term Creative Drawing & Painting

Class Details

“art is like birdsong - it is made of patterns, inflections, shadings and shifts” This term creative inspiration is to be found out in our environment exploring and drawing. One week we will visit a particular venue exploring and drawing. The following week students will be creating an artwork in the Birchwood Studio using those reference drawings made at that particular venue. By focusing on the variety of patterns, inflections and shadings found at different locations students will have an opportunity to transform their observations into their own unique art song. Venues are still to be confirmed but will include St. Cecilia’s Hall, Greyfriars Church and the Royal Botanical Garden All materials and refreshments are included in the course fee.

Cancellation Policy

We hope to avoid cancelling classes or workshops whenever possible but sometimes life happens and it's unavoidable. When we have cancelled you will be offered either a refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another class/time. We can't offer refunds if you can't make it to a class or workshop but if there are places available on another day we will do our best to fit you in. If you cancel 14 days or more before an event we will refund you if we are able to re-sell your place(s).
