Class Details
From Garden to Studio: An 8-Week Drawing and Painting Journey Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature with this 8-week course that combines outdoor sketching and studio painting. We’ll be visiting two inspiring garden venues; the Inch Nursery brimming with plants and its delightful outdoor and indoor spaces to explore; and the more intimate, lush community gardens near Birchwood. The aim is to capture the essence of these two venues through observational drawing with guidance on transforming initial sketches into expressive works of art. In the gardens themselves, students will work on capturing key elements like shapes, light, and shadow, while in the studio, these studies will evolve into vibrant paintings. By the end of the course, students will have gained confidence in translating outdoor inspiration into finished paintings, as well as a deeper appreciation for the art of observation. Cancellation Policy
We hope to avoid cancelling classes or workshops whenever possible but sometimes life happens and it's unavoidable. When we have cancelled you will be offered either a refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another class/time. We can't offer refunds if you can't make it to a class or workshop but if there are places available on another day we will do our best to fit you in. If you cancel 14 days or more before an event we will refund you if we are able to re-sell your place(s). We reserve the right to substitute the advertised tutor with someone of equal skill/expertise.
